Haydee Ellis





Haydee Lafaye Ellis is a native New Orleanian. She now resides and works in Folsom, Louisiana. She studied painting with Alan Flattman and at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Ellis's Work has been shown in museums and galleries across Louisiana, and in New York City, and appears in private and corporate collections nationwide. She has been involved in public arts projects in New Orleans, and in St. Tammany Parish. She works primarily in oils, and is recognized for her portraits, which range in size from 4 by 5 inches to 7 by 9 feet, as well as for unique backstage perspective of a performing artist. Her subjects have included such musical icons as Fats Domino and Charles Neville. She is represented by the Viewing Room in New York City.
